O MY GOD, FUGU and More Set for West Coast Jewish Theatre's 2015-16 Season

The much lauded West Coast Jewish Theatre has announced its 2015-2016 season which will kick off April 18 with the American premiere of O My God by Anat Gov, followed in October by Romance.com by Hindi Brooks, and concluding in 2016 with the world premiere of Fugu by Howard Teichman and Steven Simon. All shows will be presented at the Pico Playhouse in West Los Angeles.

The Vertical Company presents "O Walter, My Walter" by Elena Zucker at The Celebration of Whimsy Theatre (the former Living Theatre home). 21-A Cinton Street, NYC. Previews begin this week for the Off Broadway play on Thursday, May 15th and the Opening is Monday, May 19that 8:00 pm for the limited engagement. Set Design is by Simon Harding, (who recently did the set design for 3LD's amazing Tyson/Ali). The Lighting Design by Zach Murphy (Lighting supervisor at The Public Theatre). The award-winning play is directed by the playwright. This production features some of New York City's most talented physical theater actors: Andrew Baldwin, Richard Crawford, Mischa Ipp, Scott Janes, Timur Kocak, Jenny Lee Mitchell, Vicki Oceguera, Michael Villastrego, William Webber.

The Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University will present the New York City premiere of My Coma Dreams at the Miller Theatre on the Columbia University campus for two performances on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Based on the personal experience of pianist/composer Fred Hersch, who survived a two-month medically induced coma, My Coma Dreams is an extraordinary jazz theater piece that explores the dividing line between life and death. The New Republic's David Hajdu called the piece 'serious, profoundly moving and sometimes disturbing, a work of dream art as elegant as Stravinsky's 'Petit Concert' and as memorable as 'Yesterday.'

Legendary underground performer Raven O is reinventing himself with a new single and music video, both of which point to a darker side of the NYC club scene that made his name. The single, 'My Friend,' is a moody goth-rock piece that adds a note of despair to the performer's trademark crooning. The accompanying video, Raven's first, amplifies this melancholy tone with dizzying camerawork and a number of gritty urban scenes. In his own words: 'It's a commentary on the decades I spent as a creature of the night.'
