The Boomerang Theatre Company debuted The Legacy Reading Series, a new annual event featuring readings of plays from past seasons, last week to benefit the company. The series is intended to celebrate past works, while giving new audiences a chance to experience them. All proceeds from The Legacy Series are intended benefit Boomerang new play development programs.

Theater message boards became very busy places on September 10, 2009. The curtain had hardly wrung down when theatergoers reached for their blackberries to post their opinions about the first preview of BYE BYE BIRDIE. In fact, there were a few who posted their comments during intermission. Perhaps that's why they felt they had a right to be so vocal about their opinions.

Ms. Roscioli is making her Broadway debut after playing the role of Elphaba for the final two years of the record-breaking Chicago production of WICKED. Dee joins a cast which includes Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

Born and raised in Lakewood, Ohio, Hoty began her professional career at The Cleveland Play House as a member of the repertory company (1975 and 1976).
