Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that casting of the New York premiere of Mara Nelson-Greenberg's DO YOU FEEL ANGER?, directed by Margot Bordelon, is now complete with Jeanne Sakata (HOLD THESE TRUTHS). On March 4, 2019 Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winner Audra McDonald will receive the 2019 Stephen Sondheim Award, to be presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy. The award, established in 2009 in honor of America's most influential musical theater writer and composer, benefits Signature's artistic, education and community programs. Broadway stars Cynthia Erivo and Heidi Blickenstaff will perform in Audra's honor along with Washington's own Tracy Lynn Olivera and Nova Y. Payton.

Pear Theatre To Present World Premiere Of SOJURN In March

Pear Theatre continues its season with the World Premiere of "Sojourn" by playwright Evan Kokkila-Schumacher, directed by Caroline Clark. Set in the later half of this century, "Sojourn" follows two astronauts on a life-long mission into the cosmos. "Sojourn" previews on March 14, with press and Opening Night on Friday, March 15 (followed by a champagne gala). The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through April 7. The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center (Executive Director John Zirkle) in Big Sky Montana announced today it will present a limited engagement of Jason Robert Brown's award-winning musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS, directed by Jason McDowell-Green and starring Abby Mueller as Cathy and Ben Jacoby as Jamie. Mueller and Jacoby were recently seen together on Broadway in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, where the pair starred as Carole and Gerry Goffin, King's first husband.
