Intended to celebrate Denver's amazing local comedy scene while elevating it nationally, the festival will combine some of the city's finest talent with some of the world's finest talent for a two-day comedy extravaganza on historic South Broadway. La MaMa presents Maureen Fleming in the New York premiere of B. MADONNA. Created, choreographed, and performed by Fleming, it features text by Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang, music by Philip Glass performed live by pianist Bruce Brubaker, original accordion by Guy Klucevsek, Taiko drumming by Kaoru Watanabe and three-dimensional video projections by longtime collaborator Christopher Odo. Accompanied by harpist Xavier de Maistre, Damrau will perform selections from Schubert, R. Strauss, Hahn, Chausson, Duparc, and more. Both artists make their WNO debuts with this performance.

Irondale presents Tueurs en Serie, a new opera composed in real time using the Soundpainting live composing sign language incorporating imagery and sound inspired by the acts of serial killers. This unique piece, a new collaboration of The Walter Thompson Orchestra and the Tours Soundpainting Orchestra (Tours, France), unfolds in an impressionistic non-linear fashion. The opera will be Soundpainted live by Walter Thompson and Angelique Cormier.
