Opera San José’s 2022-23 season will conclude with a vivid production of Puccini’s thriller Tosca.

The cast has been announced for the world premiere of BERLUSCONI at Southwark Playhouse. Rehearsals begin on 13 February with first preview on 25 March and press night on 29 March.

The great opera TOSCA will be presented by Guild Opera Company on Friday January 27th and Saturday January 28th at 7:30 PM at River of the Valley in Canoga Park.

Vida Tayebati will star in Diamond, People's Theatre Project latest play. Diamond is written by Christin Eve Cato, and directed by Chuk Obasi, will run at Pregones theatre in March-April, 2023 and will be touring in NYC in September, 2023 - May, 2024.

New York Festival of Song, led by Artistic Director Steven Blier, will continue its 2022-2023 season with Amor on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 8:00pm at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center.

Tickets are now on sale for Opera Naples' production of W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan's popular operetta, 'H.M.S. Pinafore,' featuring up-and-coming stars from their Resident Artists program. Doss, who makes his Lincoln Center debut in April in a concert celebrating the legacy of Paul Robeson.

San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 Season continues with The Puccini Duo: a double-bill of the tragic Suor Angelica and the witty comic opera Gianni Schicchi on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the San Diego Civic Theatre for four performances. The Royal Opera has announced that Riccardo Massi will perform the role of Manrico in Adele Thomas's new production of Il trovatore on 2, 5, 8, 13 and 16 June 2023. Massi shares the role with Gregory Kunde who performs the role on 21, 24, 27, 29 June and 2 July as scheduled. 

Opera North has announced Joséphine Korda as its 2022-23 Female Conductor Trainee. She takes up the intensive 9-week scheme at the Leeds-based company while studying for her masters at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. 

Conductor and composer Daniela Candillari makes her debut with the New York Philharmonic in their inaugural season inside the new David Geffen Hall on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 7:30pm. The concert, An Evening with Yo-Yo Ma, features the world-renowned cellist in Elgar's spellbinding Cello Concerto, in addition to Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 and Missy Mazzoli's River Rouge Transfiguration.

Musicologist Joseph Kerman is probably most widely remembered for calling Puccini’s TOSCA “a shabby little shocker.” I wonder whether he’d have something similar to say about Giordano’s FEDORA, which brought the Met audience to its feet on New Year’s Eve?
