Film and television star WILL FERRELL's upcoming Broadway debut in his new one-man show 'You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush' will officially open on Thursday, February 5th, 2009, with previews starting on January 20th

The New York Times is reporting that comedian Will Ferrell will be making his Broadway debut next year. Ferrell will get his own one man show 'You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush.' The show will be directed by Adam McKay. It is scheduled to begin previews on January 20th at the Cort Theater, currently home to The 39 Steps. It will open on February 1st and run through March 15th.

Michael Riedel of the New York Post reports that famed Hollywood comedian and 'Saturday Night Live' alumni, Will Ferrell, is aiming to bring a one-man-show to Broadway.

For its holiday feature, the San Jose Rep will present This Wonderful Life, a visually stunning stage adaptation of the 1946 Frank Capra classic film It's a Wonderful Life. In this theatrical twist, San Jose Rep's associate director Kirsten Brandt directs actor Dan Hiatt, who plays all 35 characters in a one-man tour de force.
