Robert Dean Smith will make his Met debut on Saturday, March 22, singing the role of Tristan in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde. The performance, which begins at 12:30 p.m/ET, will be transmitted live to movie theaters around the world as part of The Met: Live in HD series. Ben Heppner, who was originally slated to sing that performance, is still recovering from an illness, and is scheduled to sing on Tuesday, March 25 and Friday, March 28.

Long-running Off-Broadway show brings its universal message to Central Massachusetts with a local slant

Grant Rosen, star of the timeless musical Camelot, joins Hilton Hotels, the Tony Awards and Hippodrome Foundation, Inc. in hosting a theater workshop for 40 kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland as part of Hilton's First Theatre Memories Program. Participants will be offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a musical is produced in addition to the chance to rehearse and perform songs and scenes from Camelot. Kids will also be treated to a Camelot stage combat workshop by Rosen, during which the kids - armed with their own dowel swords - will be taught the same choreographed fight techniques used in the show. Following the workshop, the kids will attend a matinee performance of the musical and receive an exclusive opportunity to meet the cast and watch a 'fight call' from the front rows.

Announced during tonight's live broadcast, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber will appear along for one of the hit TV show theme weeks. Other mentors/stars scheduled to appear on other weeks will be Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey and Neil Diamond.
