This harrowing new production of The Unseen by Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost, Dirty Sexy Money) will premiere at Riverside Studios for a strictly limited season in 2024.
In a brutal totalitarian regime, two strangers are imprisoned for reasons unknown. Wallace and Valdez communicate only through their cell walls, navigating waves of hope and disillusionment whilst seeking an escape route.
Finding solace in one another they create their own philosophies in an attempt to assign meaning to their state of confinement. Meanwhile, their torturer finds himself torn between his duty and his own self-revulsion, and plans a showdown that will change everything.
Craig Wright's The Unseen exposes the isolation, guilt, and dehumanising effects of totalitarian repression in a thought-provoking drama reminiscent of Waiting For Godot.

The Echo Theater Company's west coast premiere of playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Pulitzer Prize-finalist GLORIA receives a sturdy mounting with a very capable cast handling the witty, words-heavy monologues. My heart is full for many reasons, not the least of which is that I can say, henceforth, that the last production of Steel Magnolias that I reviewed - this one at The Larry Keeton Theatre in Donelson through Saturday, September 1 - was almost as good as that very first production I saw in Chicago in the summer of 1988. In fact, direct Donna Driver and her cast deliver a reading of Steel Magnolias that is as close to what Robert Harling wrote more than 30 years ago as any I've ever seen.
There's no better way to end the summer than by seeing The Understudy at Connecticut's legendary theatre.

Thus, she marks her debut in the publishing scene with the release of 'Awakened Revelations: from the Heart of a Kingmaker' (published by iUniverse), a collection of poetry, highlighting insights being revealed to many as they move through experiences in the attempt to find purpose, and meaning to existence.

Chastity is a world of its own from the mind of Brandon Williams. Reflecting the working class background of Whitby, Ontario, Chastity's songs are charged with the ethos of archetypal youth on the fringe. A project more aptly characterized by its intentions than specific sound or medium, Chastity stands to confront the struggles of those existing in the unseen, often silenced periphery. It is an artifact of youth culture constantly working to form community, bridging isolation with collectivity.
