The King's Head Theatre and Charles Court Opera are have announced the full cast for The Nativity Panto – A Not-So Silent Night, starring Emily Cairns, Meriel Cunningham, Jennie Jacobs, Matthew Kellett and Catrine Kirkman. The panto runs from 29 November 2019 to 11 January 2020, with a press night on Tuesday 3 December 2019.

Palm Beach Opera opens its 19-20 season with a fully-staged production of 'Hansel and Gretel' at Delray Beach's Crest Theatre, starring the company's artists in residence, on Dec. 6-8.
Based on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Palm Beach Opera's charming production of 'Hansel and Gretel' will feature the company's Benenson Young Artists and Bailey Apprentice Artists, a lush folk-inspired score by Engelbert Humperdinck, and an imaginative set made entirely out of paper.

CSO's Annual HOLIDAY POPS Rings In The Season

An annual Columbus tradition since 1983, the CSO's Holiday Pops is the creation of chorus master and conductor Ronald Jenkins who has led all 112 performances to date. In 2019, Jenkins, the musicians of the Columbus Symphony, and the 130 members of the Columbus Symphony Chorus, will be joined by more than 100 voices from the Columbus Children's Choir, dancers from the BalletMet Academy, narrator Steven Crawford, and of course, Santa Claus. New for 2019, dancers from The Ohio State University Department of Dance and the Handbell Columbus Ensemble will join this heartwarming holiday spectacular.

San Francisco Opera presents Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, November 15–December 7. Last seen on the War Memorial Opera House stage nearly two decades ago, the popular fairy-tale opera returns in an “enchanting” (The Times, UK) new co-production with London's Royal Opera by director and production designer Antony McDonald. Humperdinck's sweeping score will be conducted by Christopher Franklin and sung in English translation by a cast including mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke as Hansel, Heidi Stober as Gretel and Robert Brubaker as the Witch.
