Three inspirational women take the Benaroya Hall stage in April to delight of Seattle audiences. When Theatre [502] launched in 2010, it was a personal project from a Louisville Theatre power trio, Amy Attaway, Gil Reyes, and Mike Brooks. All three brought strong experience and sound reputations for working with actors and designers. Their vision for the company was to produce contemporary plays that would be new to Louisville, '...filling a gap in what small theatre companies were doing here at the time' according to Ms. Attaway. All three were directors and the first seasons tended to take a three-point stance, each one in charge of one production.

The de Blasio Administration today announced the launch of the IDNYC renewal campaign, new and returning benefit partners, and the IDNYC Middle School Card. With the fifth anniversary of the IDNYC program approaching and the first set of cards set to expire beginning in January 2020, the program has also introduced a new card design and a comprehensive, citywide advertising and targeted outreach campaign to promote renewals. IDNYC is the largest and most successful municipal ID program in the country with over 1.3 million cardholders.

Netflix has renewed the worldwide hit series Stranger Things for a fourth season and signed series creators and showrunners The Duffer Brothers to a multi-year film and series overall deal. 

Playwrights on Park will begin the new season on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Through this reading series, original plays and musicals from emerging and established playwrights are developed and produced. The first play of the 2019-20 season is ALMA BAYA by Edward Einhorn. Sasha Bratt will direct.

MGM Television is teaming with Universal Music Publishing Group to create 'Scenes From an Italian Restaurant,'  a scripted 'arc-thology' based on Billy Joel's life.

Sonia Friedman Productions today announced Conor McPherson's (The Weir, Girl from the North Country) new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's masterpiece Uncle Vanya directed by Ian Rickson (Jerusalem, The Seagull) which will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 14th January 2020 with Opening Night on Thursday 23rd January 2020. Tickets go on general sale from Monday 30th September with priority booking from Wednesday 25th September.
