SPIDER-MAN Inviting Critics for the First Time in June

Though the lack of an invite for critics didn't stop them from 'storming the theatre' to see and review what's being called 'SPIDER-MAN 1.0', the newly revised show will be inviting critics officially for the first time, the second week in June, before their upcoming June 14th official opening night. Performances begin tomorrow for the newly re-imagined show which has undergone extensive changes that are said to have addressed both audience and critical complaints.

Christopher Tierney Back in Action: Performs First Stunt in New SPIDER-MAN

Injured SPIDER-MAN perform Christopher Tierney returned to rehearsals for the musical on Monday, April 25th. Tierney has been cleared to rejoin the show and intends to be swinging over the audience again on opening night June 14. He is now one step closer, as he successfully performed his first major aerial stunt since being back, according to a report in from the AP. Tierney gracefully completed his in-air fight with the Green Goblin stuntman in a run last night without upset or unjury. Tierney, cast and team are 'excited' and 'emotional' over his recovery and return.
Cynthia Nixon Set for Spidey-Themed LAW & ORDER

As previously reported by BroadwayWorld, Law & Order: Criminal Intent will tackle the troubled Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK in an upcoming episode, and stage and screen star Cynthia Nixon is et to star in it. According to TVline.com, Nixon will play the episode's Julie Taymor equivalent, a 'high-strung and larger-than-life director behind a problem-plagued Broadway version of Icarus.'
