In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jamie Foxx confirmed rumors that he will star in the role of 'Electro' in the upcoming sequel to this year's blockbuster THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. 'Electro is a great character,' Foxx told ET's Nancy O'Dell.

Jake Epstein, best known as the star of the hugely popular teen series "Degrassi: The Next Generation," will make his Broadway debut as the Peter Parker / Spider-Man Alternate in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark. Epstein will play Saturday and Sunday matinee performances beginning on December 8, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in its 2nd smash year on Broadway, and has been seen by more than 1 million audience members from around the world. SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, the record-breaking Broadway spectacular, held a Halloween safety press conference earlier today at the Foxwoods Theatre. According to the Associated Press, ex-Spidey director Julie Taymor just today reached a tentative settlement regarding her lawsuit against the producers of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. Details of the deal have not been released to the public.
