Daniel Robert Sullivan spent over a year in Toronto playing Tommy DeVito in the smash-hit Canadian run of Jersey Boys, and next week he's returning to the Great White North to launch his new book Places, Please! (Becoming a Jersey Boy). Daniel sat down to talk with BWW about why he wrote the book, why he's launching it in Toronto and his journey so far.

Jeremy Kushnier to Return to JERSEY BOYS in October!

Jeremy Kushnier will step into the role of Tommy DeVito in the Broadway cast of JERSEY BOYS, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning smash hit musical, at the August Wilson Theatre on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Andy Karl, who currently plays Tommy DeVito, will play his final performance on Sunday, October 7, 2012.

Jon Favreau Likely to Direct JERSEY BOYS Film

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, director Jon Favreau is among the top contenders to direct the JERSEY BOYS film, which is being adapted by RED playwright John Logan. Today, Deadline.com reports that Favreau has begun negotiations to close the deal.

On July 3, the Broadway company of JERSEY BOYS welcomed back John Lloyd Young, who created the role of Frankie Valli in the original Broadway company and on the Grammy-winning, platinum cast album. for his performance, Mr. Young won Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for Leading Actor in a Musical and a Theatre World Award.

Casting has been announced for the Providence engagement of the Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, playing the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) August 15 - September 2, 2012. Original Four Seasons frontman Frankie Valli recently visited WCBSFM, where he chatted about the Broadway hit JERSEY BOYS making its way to the big screen. While he was there he revealed that the film, set to feature a screenplay by John Logan, will begin filming next year and will be released by the end of 2013. One of the major events this fall will be the arrival of the national tour of the 20th-longest running Broadway musical, Jersey Boys. At a recent event, I had the chance to chat with Matt Bailey (Tommy DeVito), Alayna Gallo (Lorraine and others), and Kevin Crewell (Bob Crewe and others) from the national touring company of Jersey Boys about the show, their experiences, and their acting beginnings. They had a lot to say, including some particularly nice things about the Durham Performing Arts Center as a venue.
