What did our critic think of A BRONX TALE IS A 'HIT' AT THE ARGYLE THEATRE at The Argyle Theatre?

 The nine-time Emmy Award-winning All-Star Orchestra announced the multifaceted programming for its sixth season, following its 10th-anniversary season last year.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nathan Lane revealed that Timon and Pumbaa, voiced by Lane and Ernie Sabella respectively, originally sang 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight?' in the classic Disney animated film The Lion King.

As we all know, the 23/24 Broadway theatre season has been one of the busiest in a very long time with many new plays and musicals opening within a short period. One of those shows was The Notebook. It features a score by pop writer Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Bekah Brunsetter. The show had a pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago where it was met with unanimous rave reviews.

In 1973 George Lucas wrote a story titled “The Adventures of Indiana Smith”, inspired by the adventure films of the 1930s and 1940s. While on holiday with Steven Spielberg, Lucas pitched his story, and convinced him to direct a trilogy of films. Spielberg suggested that the surname was changed to Jones and the rest is history. Simply known as Raiders of the Lost Ark when it was originally released, the film features an incredible score by the great John Williams.

When I started composing the score, I really wanted to find a musical language with which to establish the world of these nine teenage characters.

According to a new report, Jennifer Lopez, who recently finished filming the upcoming film Kiss of the Spider Woman, said working with composer John Kander on the film was 'a dream.' Kander wrote the score for the 1993 Broadway musical, winning a Tony alongside lyricist and frequent collaborator Fred Ebb. “John Kander, who is 97 years old, was in the studio with me,” Lopez said. “He is the most beautiful man.'
