Fiddler on the Roof - 2019 Off-Broadway History , Info & More

Stage 42
422 West 42nd Street (between 9th and 10th) New York, NY 10036

Direct from the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's sold-out run with multiple extensions downtown at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, the musical Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish is moving to 42nd Street!

A New York Times Critics' Pick, Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish "strikes a deep emotional chord" and "offers a kind of authenticity no other American Fiddler ever has" (The New York Times).

With direction by Oscar and Tony Award-winner Joel Grey and the Yiddish translation by Shraga Friedman, this production has been hailed as "a richer, deeper interpretation" by The Wall Street Journal, "a mitzvah" by Time Out New York, and AM New York gives it four stars, calling Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish "perfect."
