The Tony-winning smash hit Broadway musical Come From Away is celebrating its first anniversary on Broadway today, and to mark the occasion, fans submitted videos of themselves singing the show's opening number, "Welcome to the Rock," for a compilation video (with a fun cameo from the show's creators, Irene Sankoff & David Hein). It's International Women's Day and Broadway is out to celebrate! COME FROM AWAY's Irene Sankoff takes us behind the scenes of her show's touching story as she spotlights the female characters and their real life counterparts.

The Toronto Production of Come From Away opened February 13th at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. Come From Away tells the heartwarming story of the thousands of travelers who were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland during 9/11, and the Newfoundlanders who opened their hearts and homes to them.

The cast of Broadway's COME FROM AWAY performed on the TODAY SHOW today, February 16th on NBC. Captain Beverly Bass, played by Jenn Collela in the musical, also sat down with Megyn Kelly to discuss the shows impact. Watch the clips below!

Last night, December 14, The ASCAP Foundation honored jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater with The ASCAP Foundation Champion Award, and acclaimed Broadway composers/lyricists/librettists David Hein and Irene Sankoff with the Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award. On Tuesday, December 5th, Broadway Backstory podcast released their episode about the making of COME FROM AWAY. COME FROM AWAY is the hit 2017 musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hine that tells the true story of what happened when 7,000 stranger were stranded in Gander, New Foundland in the wake of the September 11, 2011 attacks. Broadway Backstory, a documentary-style podcast that finds out how a show develops from an idea to a full production, charts the show's journey from a college workshop to it's out of town tryouts, to a concert event in Gander, and ultimately to Broadway.

The Mark Gordon Company (MGC) today announced that it will produce and finance a feature film adaptation of the widely acclaimed Broadway musical Come From Away.

Due to overwhelming demand, 15 more weeks of performances 149,280 tickets, to be exact to the highly anticipated return engagement of COME FROM AWAY will go on sale 9AM Monday November 20, 2017. The multi-award-winning show set a record for theatre sales in Canada last month when it achieved $12M at the box office after only one week of public sales.
