FJK Dance Returns to New York Live Arts, Now thru 7/11

Fadi Khoury, the Iraqi-born Artistic Director of FJK Dance, will return to New York Live Arts tonight, July 8 through July 11 with his company of ten dancers in new and repertory works combining a variety of dance mediums in a rare cultural fusion. The run will include four premieres and a special guest choreographer collaboration.

   The name Ray Charles is a Star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame. The name Ray Charles designates a superstar worldwide whose legacy shaped and forever changed the face of American music.  Fellow musicians called Charles 'The Genius,' an appropriate title for the ramblin' musician, who never worked in just one style, but blended and beautified all that he touched.  He also earned the nickname 'Father of Soul'.   In just about every Hall of Fame that has anything to do with music, be it Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Rock & Roll, Gospel or Country & Western, Ray's name is very prominently displayed.

Producing Artistic Director Chuck Tobin today announced the July 1st opening of Jeffrey Hatcher's area premiere adaptation of Wait Until Dark, written by Frederick Knott at Saint Michael's Playhouse (tonight, July 1 - 11). Directed by Sarah Carleton the cast features Abby Lee as Susan, John D. Alexander as Roat, Christian Kohn as Mike, Bill Carmichael as Carlino, David Rossetti as Sam, and introducing Jillian Kenny as Gloria.

This is the first produced stage play for noted television writer-producer, Ed.
