Signal Ensemble Theatre Announces "Six Degrees..." on 11/08, and "...Miss Jean Brodie" for 4/09

Artistic Directors Ronan Mara and Joseph Stearns announced the next two productions in Signal Ensemble Theatre's 2008-2009, sixth anniversary season, 'Six Degrees of Separation' and 'The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie,' presenting a diverse slate which focuses on different individuals and their struggles with the pressures of society and the consequences of their choices. Both productions will be directed by Artistic Director Ronan Marra.

Oslo Elsewhere, now in its 4th season, will present the U.S. premiere of Jon Fosse's 'SA KA LA,' directed and translated by Sarah Cameron Sunde. 'SA KA LA' will be presented at The Green Room / The Theatres at 45 Bleecker, 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette). Performances will begin on September 6, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, September 8 at 8:00 p.m. Performances will run through September 27.

Leguizamo and Cedric the Entertainer to Star on Broadway in Mamet's 'America Buffalo'

American Buffalo is now officially confirmed to begin performances on 10/31, with an opening night date of 11/17, the play is considered one of David Mamet's signature works. The drama details the bungled heist of an old nickel by three lowlifes based in a Chicago pawnshop suggests how the language and practice of American business and power politics are insidious forces in our society.John Leguizamo and Cedric The Entertainer will star.
