The 2008 Miami Improv Festival presented by Just The Funny features headliner, The Groundlings, known best for creating much of the talent seen on TV's popular comedy shows: Saturday Night Live and Mad TV, and imports Los Angeles comic actors to Miami for two MIF 2008 performances. Since 1974, the Groundlings have been one of the most notable improv groups in the nation, boasting alumni such as, Phil Hartman, Will Ferrell, Julia Sweeney, Chris Kattan, Lisa Kudrow, and Michael McDonald.
