Beloved Broadway shows were stripped down, sexied up and given a Broadway Bares twist at this year's edition of Broadway Bares Fire Island. Inspired by some of the theatre's greatest hits and set to pop music, the evening brought Broadway style to classic striptease. Twenty-six of New York City's best dancers came together in Fire Island Pines on June 3, 2017, and raised a record-breaking $56,533 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Based on Lloyd Kaufman's cult film, The Toxic Avenger, and winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, The Toxic Avenger is a charming love story and laugh-out-loud musical that has it all - an unlikely hero, his beautiful girlfriend, a corrupt New Jersey mayor and two guys who play… well, everyone else … bullies, mobsters, old ladies, and stiletto-wearing back-up singers.

On July 18, Audible Studios will release THE X-FILES: COLD CASES, an Audible Original production starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and a full cast, and including rich sound design and music that returns fans to the Universe they've come to know and love with original material in an entirely new medium!

The Tony Award winning show "Kinky Boots", part of the Webster Broadway series, sashays its way to the Palace Theater December 6 - 11 for eight performances and includes a special pre-show event before the Thursday December 8 performance.

Phoenix Theatre Ensemble announces that Bertolt Brecht's political farce, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, will lead off the company's 13th season on October 20 and will play for 21 performances through November 13, 2016 at The Wild Project in the East Village.  Previews will start October 20 with an official opening Saturday, October 22 @ 8PM.
