Carnegie Hall Announces All-Star Lineup For A NIGHT OF INSPIRATION

Carnegie Hall today announced additional guest artists for A Night of Inspiration, an evening of uplifting music on Saturday, December 15 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Under the direction of acclaimed producer, composer, and music director Ray Chew and co-produced with his wife and business partner, Vivian Scott Chew, the exciting program features an all-star roster of artists including Regina Belle, Shirley Caesar, Koryn Hawthorne, Adrienne Bailon Houghton, Israel Houghton, Kenny Lattimore, Ledisi, Patricio Molina, Iyanla Vanzant, Bebe Winans and The String Queens. The stellar lineup joins previously announced artists Travis Greene, J.J. Hairston, Cantor Azi Schwartz, Richard Smallwood, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, and an outstanding instrumental ensemble.

According to Baz Bamigboye of The Daily Mail, Tony nominated director Marianne Elliott will direct Arthur Miller's timeless drama, Death of a Salesman, in a production aiming for a May 2019 bow on the West End.

Paul Virides Productions and Evelyn James Productions today announce the world premiere of All in a Row renewing their collaboration with writer, Alex Oates and director, Dominic Shaw following their previous production of Silk Road (How to Buy Drugs Online). The production opens at Southwark Playhouse on Monday 18 February, with previews from Thursday 14 February, running until Saturday 9 March.

The Old Globe invites your participation as Globe for All celebrates five years of making theatre matter to more people! This talented company of professional actors will tour Shakespeare's most popular comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream throughout San Diego County to a wide variety of economically, geographically, and culturally diverse communities. The free Globe for All Tour begins Tuesday, October 30 and will visit 17 community partner venues new and old, from Oceanside to the South Bay, from Linda Vista to the Imperial Valley. Patricia McGregor returns to direct her second Globe for All tour, following Measure for Measure in 2016, along with recent critical acclaim for her direction of the world premiere of Lights Out: Nat "King" Cole (People's Light, Geffen Playhouse) and Skeleton Crew (Studio Theatre, Geffen Playhouse).

What sounded like a gramophone played Christmas Island as the audience shuffled inside the second-story stage of the Lonny Chapman Theatre. Wind-blown debris and leaves adorned the entire stage and a tree snapped in half sat upstage. Patio furniture, newspapers and pipes helped set the scene of the Keller Family's backyard in August 1947. This was Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS.

As previously announced, Netflix is now streaming a special edition of Barbra Streisand's classic movie A Star Is Born (1976). Supervising the edit, Ms. Streisand was happy to include never-before-seen footage - the scene where she first plays 'Evergreen' on the guitar for Mr. Kristofferson. To Ms. Streisand's surprise almost a year later, the song went on to win the Academy Award, the Grammy, and the Golden Globe. The other never-before-seen footage includes a rock n' roll version of the film's finale 'Watch Closely Now.'
