The Brick Theater, Inc., announces the performance schedule and lineup for the upcoming 2010 New York Clown Theatre Festival, performing September 3-26 at The Brick Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This year's festival will feature diverse clown theatre artists from around the world and across the United States. Cabarets, special events, and clown workshops to be announced shortly.

The Brick Theater, Inc., presenter of the first festival of Clown Theatre in New York in over 20 years in 2006, brings the festival back this fall as the 2010 New York Clown Theatre Festival, performing September 3-26 at The Brick Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This year's festival will feature diverse clown theatre artists from the Ukraine, Israel, Wales, Mexico, Canada, and across the United States from California, Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Oregon, Chicago and New York City.

Yesterday, July 14, clowns performed during a dress rehearsal for the Slava's Snowshow in Sao Paulo. The show was created and staged by Russian clown Slava Polunin. The show will run until July 28. BroadwayWorld brings coverage of the event below.

Filmmaker Kevin Smith takes center stage at the illustrious Carnegie Hall Wednesday, June 17th where he'll perform his unique, uncensored brand of storytelling and interact with an audience often as familiar with his unusual life as he is.

The role of the wily Tartuffe will be tackled by English actor Richard Crawford. He will also double as Madame Perenlle, the benefactor's aged mother. Mr. Crawford Trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq and Rose Bruford College. He has appeared in productions at the La Jolla Playhouse and other prominent regional theatres. Richard served as lead clown in 'Slava's Snowshow' at the Union Square Theater and has directed clown work for Cirque du Soleil's 'Dralion' and 'Petrushka' at Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing he teaches Lecoq technique at S.U.N.Y Purchase.
