This January, the English National Opera (the ENO) revives Jonathan Miller’s staging of Puccini’s best-loved opera at the London Coliseum.

The Shaw Festival is mourning the death of Christopher Newton, former artistic director, who died peacefully yesterday morning at the age of 85. Actor, stage manager, playwright, artistic director, Mr. Newton made a momentous impact and life-long contributions to the Canadian theatre landscape and performing arts.

“Curlew River – A Parable for Church Performance (Op. 71),” one of English composer Benjamin Britten’s trio of music dramas designed to be performed in houses of worship, focuses on a journey to find something that’s been lost and the difficulty of moving on before resolution is found.

Producing Artistic Director Evan Hoffmann has released NextStop Theatre Company's revised schedule of programming for Fall 2021.
