Featuring a concert version of King's Bessie-nominated piece Astral Epitaphs that was commissioned by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company for its final shows at the Park Avenue Armory in Dec. 2011, the music of New York composer John King (www.johnkingmusic.com) will be presented at Brooklyn's Roulette tonight, December 7 at 8pm.

October 2010 will mark the beginning of St. Louis Actors' Studio's fourth season, themed Angels and Demons. This theme will be examined from the minds of some of our favorite plays and playwrights; from lame duck presidents to aging comedy partners - human wants, needs and political relationships bring out the best and worst in us.

The Antaeus Company, L.A.'s classical theater ensemble, continues ClassicsFest 2010 with an invigorating 'summer splash' of actor-initiated workshops, readings, and special events. Audiences can choose from a veritable smorgasbord of the classics between July 6 and August 15 at the company's interim home, Deaf West Theatre in the NoHo Arts District. All readings and workshops are $10.

The New Amsterdam Singers, led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will perform New York premieres by Ronald Perera and Kirke Mechem on a program of choral music entitled Morning, Evening, Earth and Sky Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 8 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 East 88th Street. Ronald Perera's Earthsongs, a cycle of six poems by E. E. Cummings, was written in 1983 for women's voices, and was recently rearranged by the composer for mixed voices.
