Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director of Amphibian Stage, today announced that Hans & Sophie, a new play created by New York-based trio Sean Hudock, Illana Stein and Deborah Yarchun, will have its world premiere at the Fort Worth, TX theatre February 5 - March 1, 2020. Illana Stein, who helmed Amphibian's regional premiere of David Davalos' A Lost Leonardo, will direct.

The Colonial Players, Inc. of Annapolis, Maryland is pleased to announce their upcoming fall production of Lillian Garret-Groag's The White Rose, directed by Alex Brady.

During this year's Season Release Bash at Park & Field, Artistic Director and Co-Founder Michael Patrick Thornton and Associate Artistic Director Emjoy Gavino announced The Gift Theatre's 2020 Season will include: a revival of Martin McDonagh's masterpiece THE PILLOWMAN; the Chicago premiere of Naomi Iizuka's drama AT THE VANISHING POINT, directed by Lavina Jadhwani; and the world premiere of Jennifer Rumberger's drama THE LOCUSTS, commissioned and developed by The Gift.

The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) offers its weekend Academy students many opportunities to share their talents from the bright lights of the West End to the international performing arts arena of Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This August, students aged 10-18, from a number of its Academies around the UK, will bring a varied and exciting programme to Pauline Quirke's own Fringe venue, PQA Venues @Riddle's Court.

The audience is left to decide whether she is a hero or a villain.

SHEER MAG return with their sophomore album, A Distant Call. They're still writing about surviving our current hellscape, but this time around, the politics get extra-personal. It's heavy power-pop so sleek it gleams. 'We've been waiting to write these songs since we started the band and we were able to take these experiences and build a story out of them,' notes front woman Tina Halladay. The album verges on being a concept piece, and the protagonist resembles Halladay herself. The songs document a particularly alienating time in her life when she was laid off from a job. Broke and newly single, her father (with whom she had a fraught relationship) passed away, leaving her with more wounds than felt possible to heal. The album's lead single 'Blood From A Stone' which was released today, kicks off the narrative of the album proper. It flashes back to Tina's life from a few years back and sets up the arc for the rest of the record. 

From the ashes of London indie pop outfit Blindness comes the dark and dynamic alt-rock project Where We Sleep. The debut EP 'Experiments In The Dark' releases on May 31. Ahead of this, the present 'Into The Light', which features Debbie Smith of Echobelly, Curve and SPC ECO fame on guitar. Smith was also in Blindness and is part of the trio Snowpony with My Bloody Valentine's Debbie Googe and Moonshake's Katharine Gifford.
