"Be Brave!" and "Just Say Yes!" are two of the rules of collaboration fifth grade students follow when they take part in the Los Angeles Master Chorale's Voices Within program. The Fall series of Voices Within concerts featuring students performing songs they have written will take place on Wednesday, November 14 at Carlos Santana Arts Academy and Friday, November 16 at Hooper Avenue Elementary School.

Winner of the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance, The Crossing, led by conductor Donald Nally, performs of arms and the man on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at New York's Park Avenue Armory. The evenings feature the 24-voice ensemble of The Crossing with three cellists (Thomas Mesa, Arlen Hlusko, and Sujin Lee) and will explore the timeless themes of nationalism and war while navigating personal stories of joy and despair.

 Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, announced today that movie star and filmmaker Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been named Roast Master for the Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis. The event (#BruceWillisRoast) will tape at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 14 and will premiere on Sunday, July 29 at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT on Comedy Central. Roasters will be announced at a later date.

From July 7 to August 19, Napa Valley Museum Yountville will present Randy Strong - Glass Master, a unique collection of artist Randy Strong's legendary 45-year career in the historic American Art Glass movement. View Strong's work from early groundbreaking glass techniques to his present one-of-a-kind veiled sculptures. Many sculptural works will be available for sale, with a portion of proceeds benefiting our arts and education programs. The Opening Celebration will be on Saturday, July 14 at 4 pm, and is free for Museum Members; $10 for Non-Members. An artist talk on Sunday, August 5 from 2 to 4 pm is included with Museum Admission. Randy will also participate in a free Family Fun event on August 11, from 11 am to 1 pm.

Learn from Broadway stars this summer at Playhouse on Park! Broadway actor and teaching artist Eric Robertson is lined up to teach The Art of Clowning Adult Master Class on Monday, July 16 from 6:30-8:30pm. Friends of the theater may remember Robertson from the Playhouse's production of A Chorus Line in 2016!

Parisot is also known for directing the films "Galaxy Quest," "RED 2" and "Fun with Dick and Jane."   

Master classes are great learning experiences. At SUNY Orange these programs are offered in several disciplines: visual art, music, poetry, theatre, communication, dance, and biology/botany. From 11am to 1pm on Friday, April 20, 2018, The Chris Parker Band will present a music master class - The Elements of Jazz… Putting It All Together. Chen Leiji, one of the world's foremost exponents of the guqin a seven-stringed plucked zither that has been played in China for some 3,000 years perform a rare concert at Asia Society on Saturday, January 20.

Koz has received many accolades, including nine no. 1 albums on Billboard's Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, and he has been nominated for nine Grammy awards throughout his 25-year career. Koz has collaborated with a long list of celebrated musicians, including Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Burt Bacharach and many others. He is also a philanthropist, an entrepreneur and a well-known radio host.

Get your heart pumping just in time for Valentine's Day as The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers (CLLAW) presents CLLAW XXIX: CLLAWentine's Day Brawl on Saturday, February 3 at Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago. CLLAW's 29th benefit match will feature Chicago's biggest, baddest lady-identified arm wrestlers, live musical entertainment and a cash bar. Doors open at 9 pm with the first match beginning at 9:30 pm. Following sell-out shows in London, Paris and Beijing, director Marianne Badrichani and actress Edith Vernes reunite for a world premiere, a new devised show including various short plays by eminent French playwright Sacha Guitry on the 60th anniversary of his death, celebrating his undying admiration for women and his particular talent for mixing reality and fiction. The show will be performed in French with English surtitles.
