Presented with views from all sides, in the Lakewood Playhouse’s unique "in the round" seating, this production of “WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF" will drop you right into the middle of this verbal cage match for the ages!
This Production is our official 2014/2014 OUTSIDE of the BOX PRESENTATION. Once a season, we present a show which is a little “outside” of our norm…A Play that asks our audience to journey into places that may not be as comfortable, or familiar, as they are used to.
We are proud to present Edward Albee’s rarely presented evening of mind games, verbal fireworks and the chewy nuggets of dark comedy. WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINA WOOLF is features the Lakewood Playhouse debut of Director LARRY ALBERT.
The show consists of an ensemble of four Amazing Local Actors who are new, and returning, to the Lakewood Playhouse stage: STEVE TARRY as George (Oliver!, Forum, Sherlock's Last Case, 12th Night, Arsenic and Old Lace & Pride and Prejudice); NICLAS R OLSON as Nick (The Farnsworth Invention) and introducing BRYNNE GARMAN as Martha and KIRSTEN DEANE as Honey.
ABOUT THE SHOW: “100% Anarchy – With a Twist!” George and Martha face off as one of theatre's most notoriously dysfunctional couples in Albee's hilarious and provocative masterpiece. They are joined by an unwitting young couple invited over for an unforgettable night of cocktails and crossfire.
