The Lakewood Playhouse is proud to present FINAL SHOW of our 74th SEASON of PLAYS – Oscar Wilde’s timeless comedy of Love, Life and All of its Confusions “THE IMPORTANCE of BEING EARNEST.” The Play will be performed on Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Performances will be June 14th – July 14th, with Special Showings at 8:00pm on Thursday, June 20th (Pay What You Can Night) and 8:00pm on Thursday, June 27th (“Pay What You Can” Actor’s Benefit). Our Ticket Prices are $24.00 (General Admission), $21.00 (Senior/Military) and $18.00 (Students/Educators).

ABOUT THE SHOW: In THE IMPORTANCE of BEING EARNEST, dashing men-about-town John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities—not to mention the disapproval of Gwendolen’s mother, the formidable Lady Bracknell.
