WICA present the Wonderheads Theatre performance of "Grim and Fischer" on the Michael Nutt Main Stage on Friday, November 15, at 7:30 P.M. Wonderheads Theatre is a multi-award winning physical theatre company specializing in mask performance and exquisite visual storytelling.

Death meets his match in Mrs. Fischer, a tenacious granny not ready to breathe her last. In this surreal work of imagination and whimsy, one woman's fight for survival takes fantastica flight in a showdown with Death himself! "Grim and Fischer" takes its audience on a profound journey that is at turns both hilarious and heart-breaking.

Suitable for all ages and family friendly, "Grim and Fischer" is a fantastic performance in full-face mask and a distinct style of storytelling, with a rich soundscape, timeless slapstick and masterful physical performances-a whimsical form rarely seen on North American stages. Audiences have compared it to watching a living cartoon, or 'live-action Pixar'. And like a cartoon, the power of "Grim and Fischer" lies in its ability to step away from the sharpness of reality and offer a different lens though which to examine a deeper, darker universal struggle: our fear of death.

Wonderheads Grim and Fischer show is offered twice: an evening performance open to the public; and a free-of-charge matinee for the Langley Middle School students, where they have the opportunity to interact, ask questions, and learn about different cultures and art forms. Evening performance tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth.
