Whidbey Island Center for the Arts' Theater Series presents Frost Nixon by Peter Morgan, tonight, June 8 through June 23, 2012.
It's 1977. British talk-show host David Frost has become a lowbrow laughing-stock. Richard M. Nixon has resigned the United States presidency in total disgrace over Vietnam and the Watergate scandal. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews in order to extract an apology from Nixon. The cagey Nixon, however, is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation's eyes. In the television age, image is king, and both men are desperate to outtalk and upstage each other as the cameras roll. The result is the interview that sealed a president's legacy. Directed by Richard Evans.
The Frost Nixon cast includes Ken Church (Nixon), Jim Scullin (Frost), with Jim Carroll, Steve Ford, ElizaBeth Grant, Mikkel Hustad, Michael Morgen, Darcy Noonan, Adam Shults, Tristan A.B. Steel, Bob Thurmond, Tom Churchill, Taylor Harrison, Kira Keeney, Dwight Zehm, Don Zontine.
Frost Nixon plays FRI & SAT 7:30 pm, SUN 2:00 pm. TICKETS: Youth $12, Senior/Military $14, & Youth $16.
