Village Theatre closes its 2005-2006 Mainstage Season with the musical comedy, Hello, Dolly!—the first locally produced professional Equity production in the Pacific Northwest/> in 10 years.  Peggy O'Connell returns to Seattle to perform as crafty matchmaker extraordinaire, Dolly Levi, and John Patrick Lowrie (Play It By Heart) is the sought after, half-a-millionaire bachelor, Horace Vandergelder.

Humor and romance abounds when the widowed Dolly parades into Yonkers/>, New York/>/> with marriage on her mind and a recipe for love in her pocket. With her eye on Horace, she hatches a scheme to win his heart while succeeding to match most every singleton she meets along the way. The classic Jerry Herman score features "Before the Parade Passes By," "It Only Takes a Moment," and the beloved, "Hello, Dolly!".  Based on Thorton Wilder's play The Matchmaker with a book by Michael Stewart.

"Lavish costumes, toe-tapping song and dance numbers, and cheeky laugh-out-loud humor make Hello, Dolly! one of the most entertaining and fun musicals to produce," said Robb Hunt, executive producer for Village Theatre. "For years, audiences have been asking us to do Hello, Dolly! And now we are proud to deliver with this stunning finale to our successful season."

Hello, Dolly! is directed and choreographed by Steve Tomkins, with musical direction by Bruce Monroe.

The cast also includes Greg Allen as Cornelius; Billie Wildrick as Irene Molloy; Casey Craig  as Barnaby; Shanna Palmer as Minnie Fay; Mo Brady  as Ambrose;  Greta Bloor as Ermengarde;  Bobbi Kotula as Ernestina; and  Matt Wolfe as Rudolph.

Deveney, Doug Fahl, Gail Hebert, Brittany Jamieson (Dance Captain), Jason Kappus, Natalie Moe, James Scheider, John Scott, and Josh Wingerter

The design team includes scenic design by Bill Forrester; lighting design by Greg Sullivan; and costume design by Karen Ledger.
