Today, Village Theatre announced the cast of the season opening production of THE FULL MONTY. The show opens in Issaquah on September 16 and runs through October 24, before moving to Everett and running October 29-November 21. Featuring an array of local talent, Village Theatre's production is directed and choreographed by New York-based Jerry Dixon (SHOW BOAT, 2009).

Based on the internationally acclaimed film, this grin and bare-it comedy tells the story of six average-looking, unemployed steelworkers on the verge of a bold plan to get themselves out of debt, and make amends with those they love. Pushing through fears, building self-esteem, and rediscovering the importance of friendship and family, The Full Monty has great heart. Nominated for nine Tony Awards including Best Original Score, this is a feel-good musical with an edgy yet delightfully wicked sensibility.

Long time Village Theatre favorite Dane Stokinger returns to the Mainstage, this time as the down-and-out, leader-of-the-pack, Jerry Lukowski. You may have seen Dane at Village Theatre in one of several new musicals including: MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET as Elvis, ONCE UPON A TIME IN NEW JERSEY as Rocco, or in LITTLE WOMEN as Laurie. He has been seen at The 5th Avenue Theatre in CANDIDE and ON THE TOWN; Seattle Children's Theatre in PETER PAN; and in a national tour of MISS SAIGON and the European tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

In from Los Angeles, Kevin High takes on self-doubt and a troubled marriage in the role of Dave Bukatinsky. Kevin is a frequent television actor with credits on 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'Kings By Night' (Pilot). California Theatre credits include: AS YOU LIKE IT, GREAT EXPECTATIONS: THE MUSICAL, THE BEST LITTLE..., DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE.

Bob De Dea is back on the Mainstage to take on the role of Harold Nicols, the recently let-go factory supervisor. Bob was last seen at Village Theatre in STUNT GIRL (2009) and AIDA (2008), and through the Village Originals program in the recent Festival readings of LINCOLN IN LOVE (2010) and THE YELLOW WOOD (2008). Other roles: The Baker in INTO THE WOODS at The 5th Avenue; Ford in MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR for Wooden O.

Terence Kelley returns to Village Theatre in the quiet and gloomy shoes of Noah ‘Horse' T. Simmons. A veteran stage performer with over twenty years on the boards, Terence was last seen at Village Theatre as Amonasro in AIDA. Also returning to the Mainstage is Troy Wageman as the young, attractive Ethan Girard. Troy last performed at Village Theatre as Gaston in DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Finally, Michael Nicholas makes his Village Theatre debut as the truly broke and adrift Malcolm MacGregor. Credits include World Premiere's of PLANET EDEN and CARNIES! as well as roles in LES MISERABLES (Grantaire), CHICAGO (Billy Flynn), and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Flute).

Additional cast members include Dan Connor, Carter Davis, John X. Deveney, Christian Duhamel, Iris M. Elton, Ashley Fitzsimmons, Kathy Gehrig, LaVon Hardison, Jack Holmes, Leslie Law, Christian Ray Marbella, Ellen McLain, Naomi R. Morgan, and Rebecca Spencer.
