A Village Theatre 2006 Festival of New Musicals favorite and recipient of the Richard Rodgers Award for best score by Kim Oler and Alison Hubbard, Little Women is an all new musical version of Louisa May Alcott's beloved novel that brings the timeless tale of the March family to vivid life.

"In this faithful adaptation, Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth grow from girls into women, guided by their mother, Marmee, through romance and loss, illness and courtship, growing up, and letting go. While the musical's attachment to Village Theatre began in 2006, for the writers, the process of its creation began many years before, in 1992. After a turbulent partnership that ended in a separation with the initial creative team, songwriters Alison Hubbard and Kim Oler decided to put their project on hold. It wasn't until book writer Sean Hartley, who is known for his intimate musical Cupid & Psyche (world premiere at Village Theatre and recipient of a 2003 Drama Desk Award nomination), approached these two collaborators with an initiative to rebuild their musical that their story was reborn, more poignant and beautiful than ever before," press notes state.

Little Women is directed by Daniella Topol; scenic design by Bill Forrester; lighting design by Tom Sturge; and costume design by Cathy Hunt. A detailed cast list follows below.
