Village Theatre Pied Piper is excited to present this imaginative production of The Phantom Tollbooth at the Everett Civic Auditorium.
Based on Norton Juster's modern fairy tale, this inventive musical follows the story of Milo, a young boy who discovers that no amount of toys can suppress his boredom. The Demons of Ignorance are certain he will be their next victim, telling him "If you get the urge to do anything-don't. It may be dangerous." Join Milo on his incredible journey as he sets off to save the princesses of Rhyme and Reason and reunite the brother Kings who rule over the cities of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis.
This exciting production comes to Village Theatre from Kennedy Center Theatre for Young Audiences on Tour, which has been thrilling young audiences with their touring shows for the past 16 years, visiting hundreds of cities in 49 states. This production boasts a "richly textured score" (Washington Post) by Arnold Black and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony-Award winner Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me). The Phantom Tollbooth is an endearing show that audiences of all ages will find appealing.
