Village Theatre Announces 42ND STREET Cast Including Sawyer, Bogar, Marsh & More

Village Theatre has announced casting for their production of the tap dancing spectacular 42ND STREET, directed by Steve Tomkins.  This production will have one preview performance in Issaquah on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, and will officially open the following evening, running May 13-July 3, 2010 in downtown Issaquah, July 9-August 1, 2010 in downtown Everett.

Seattle actors Krystle Armstrong (Village Theatre: CATS, Little Women; 5th Avenue: White Christmas) as Peggy Sawyer, John Bogar (Village Theatre's Village Originals Fairystories  and Rocket Science) as Julian Marsh, Shelly Burch (Village Theatre: Shadowlands; Broadway: Stop The World I Want To Get Off; Delila in One Life To Live) as Dorothy Brock, and James Scheider (Village Theatre: AIDA, The Who's TOMMY, 5th Avenue: White Christmas, Seven Brides...; Broadway and Chicago: Million Dollar Quartet-Jerry Lee Lewis understudy) as Billy Lawlor join an all-star cast for a production that will tap your socks off!

The rest of the 42ND STREET company includes: Allan Barlow (Village Theatre: Chasing Nicolette), Katie Black, Adam Brozowski, Carissa Campbell, Ross Cornell, Kristin Culp (Co-choreographer), Christian Duhamel (Village Theatre: Once Upon A Time in New Jersey), Carly Squires Hutchison, Emily Johnson, Leslie Law (Village Theatre: Show Boat), CameRon Lewis, Jessica Low, David Schleiffers, Julian Schrenzel (Village Theatre: Man of La Mancha), John David Scott (Village Theatre: Meet Me in St. Louis), Mara Solar, Adam Somers, BRyan Tramontana (Village Theatre: Meet Me in St. Louis), Jennifer Weingarten, Vince Wingerter, Thaddeus Wilson, and Matt Wolfe (Village Theatre: Million Dollar Quartet, The Who's TOMMY).

Village Theatre's production of 42ND STREET is directed and co-choreographed by artistic director, Steve Tomkins (Village Theatre: Meet Me in St. Louis); co-choreographed by Kristin Culp; scenic design by Bob Dahlstrom (Village Theatre: Show Boat); music directed by Tim Symons (Village Theatre: Meet Me in St. Louis, Beauty and the Beast); lighting design by Aaron Copp (Village Theatre: Meet Me in St. Louis, The King and I); costume design by Melanie Burgess (Village Theatre: Chasing Nicolette, The King and I); and sound design by resident sound designer Gino Scarpino.

A musical super-hit brimming with dazzling tap-dance production numbers and snappy tunes closes out Village Theatre's 30th Anniversary Season. Ingénue Peggy Sawyer, fresh from Pennsylvania, gets her big break in New York when the star of the show is injured in rehearsal.
