Village Theatre is excited to announce its 2017-2018 Season with a diverse collection of shows that will combine to create an incredible year of theatre. The lineup includes: Into the Woods, a fairytale collision featuring the music of Sondheim; Disney's Newsies, a high-spirited explosion of song and dance; The Gin Game, a battle of quick wits and sharp tongues; String, a World Premiere musical fable about fate and the fragile fabric of the universe; and Hairpsray, the Tony Award-Winning smash hit.

The 2017-2018 Season runs September 14, 2017 to July 1, 2018 in Issaquah and October 27, 2017 to July 29, 2018 in Everett. "We think this season is the perfect blend of being artistically challenging for our creative staff, while also maintaining a strong appeal for our audiences," says Artistic Director, Steve Tomkins. "We're going to bring new energy into these shows and add that special 'Village Theatre' touch."

Last season, Village Theatre reached and exceeded 20,000 Subscribers, making it one of only 10 companies in the National Alliance for Musical Theatre who report over 20,000 Subscribers. Village Theatre prides themselves on selecting seasons that offer a variety of theatre experiences, but are also appealing as a full set, which encourages audience members to Subscribe. "There is a great deal of thought that goes into selecting a season," says Executive Producer, Robb Hunt. "We want shows that impact our audiences and help us to grow both artistically and in production values. We're looking for projects that directors will feel passionate about, while also highlighting our incredible local talent. We think this season will achieve all of this and more and we can't wait to get started."
