Due to overwhelming demand, Mumford & Sons show has been moved to the Paramount Theatre! All tickets for the Moore show will be honored & tickets will be available to the public on Friday, October 1st at 10am. Since they formed in December 2007, the members of Mumford & Sons have shared a common purpose: to make music that matters, without taking themselves too seriously. Four young men from West London in their early twenties, they have fire in their bellies, romance in their hearts, and rapture in their masterful, melancholy voices. They are staunch friends - Marcus Mumford, Country Winston, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane - who bring their music to us with the passion and pride of an old-fashioned, much-cherished, family business. They create a gutsy, old-time sound that marries the magic of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young with the might of Kings Of Leon, and their incredible energy draws us in quickly to their circle of songs, to the warmth of their stories, and to their magical community of misty-eyed men.

In August 2006, Dylan Rau (vocals/guitar) brought together Ted Feldman (guitar), Val Loper (bass) and TJ Orscher (drums) in a small NYC practice space. The original plan was to flesh out some demos Rau had been working on but each quickly saw and heard the potential for a band; a band that would be unique sounding yet widely accessible. Focusing on the rhythm and percussion that Orscher and Loper bring, they strive to bring the driving beat to the foreground and to marry it with the contemplative lyrics of Rau and inventive guitar lines of Feldman. This musical creativity combines and combats ideas set forth by pioneers of the rock genre. Press has been off the hook for their debut 4 song EP, Golden, which was produced by Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Pelican) and for their live shows. During their many gigs on the East Coast, Bear Hands have been fortunate enough to share the stage with bands such as MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Ra Ra Riot, Ambulance Ltd, The Honorary Title etc.

While it has only been 18 months since Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band's self-titled debut, they have traveled what feels like thousands of miles. Where The Messengers Meet is in real time, an expansion of the sound of the band's eponymous debut. They take the same frantic and skewed elements and stretch them out, giving them room to breathe and blossom. Thematically, Where The Messengers Meet is an exercise in contrasts: the delicate and gentle, the dark and furious. Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band collects powerful compositions into one cohesive whole held together with lush production and a haunting atmosphere. They are imperceptibly inching away from an angular style influenced by Modest Mouse and Wolf Parade, instead incorporating an epic sound recalling both the modern masters such as Arcade Fire, and classic pioneers, like Pink Floyd.

The Seattle International Comedy Competition is an annual, multi-week, judged, stand-up comedy contest. Over thirty comedians, out of hundreds who apply, perform in shows held in Comedy Clubs, bars, restaurants, casinos and theaters in and around the Seattle and the Pacific Northwest throughout the month of November. Contestants perform 3-7 minute long sets in one of two preliminary weeks, consisting of six shows in six venues over six nights. The top five from each preliminary week will meet in the semi-finals week, which requires them to perform 8-12 minute long sets for another six shows. The top five from the semi-finals move on to the finals. In the finals, they will perform 15-20 minute long sets in five more shows...and, a winner is crowned. This is a judged contest. Each contestant will perform for a unique group of judges for every show they do. Judges score each contestant in seven categories. The Seattle International Comedy Competition shares the same basic format and structure as the San Francisco Comedy Competition-and both competitions share the same Executive Producer, Jon Fox.

Three decades after the inception of X, one thing is clear: X was not only one of the most influential bands to crash out of the punk movement of the late '70s, but the band's music continues to be sonically groundbreaking today. Songs written during the group's inception are as relevant and inventive in 2008 as they were in 1977. The fact is, no one sounds like X and no one ever will. X will perform their classic, Los Angeles, in its entirety, plus their greatest hits and a showing of their film, The Wild Gift.
