Dust off your feathers and get ready to soar all the way to The Libertinis' brand-new UNCLE SEAGULL, November 13-22, at the Pocket Theater in Greenwood. Written and performed by founding producers Tootsie Spangles, Hattie HellKat, and Woody Shticks, UNCLE SEAGULL is equal parts love letter and ransom note to your favorite turn-of-the-century Russian poet Anton Chekhov and a blithe reminder that everybirdy hurts.

UNCLE SEAGULL - devised by the ensemble in the classic Libertinis fashion - is a glimpse into the lives of three seagull sisters stuck in a cherry orchard who can't get back to the sea, no matter how achingly they long to leave. Katya insists on a life of decadent proprietary, despite their virtual isolation. Vera longs for dashing adventure, but can't tear her heart away from the affairs that torture her. Sasha has forfeited herself to dutiful toil and hopes for little beyond endless cherry pits and stacks of homework to grade. But when the orchard of their childhood changes right beneath their webbed feet, will they summon the courage to fly?

UNCLE SEAGULL, featured in the Pocket's Fringe Explosion, is The Libertinis' first production of their fourth season. Setting up shop at the Pocket, The Libertinis will throw their annual RUMPUS in January (just in time for holiday horror stories), P(ART)Y: BENDER! in April (a weekend of weird and wonderful new one-offs), and TWISTY SHAKES in August (a psychedelic blowout with playwright Marcus Gorman). The Libertinis will also be spotlighted in the dazzling Center House Theatre in March as part of the acclaimed Seattle Fringe Fest!

UNCLE SEAGULL will run for an extremely limited engagement from November 13-22 - Fridays at 11:30pm, Saturdays at 10pm, and Sundays at 8:30pm - at the Pocket Theater in Greenwood (a fully accessible space for those using mobility aids). Tickets are $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Stay abreast of everything The Libertinis are up to by following on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and www.TheLibertinis.com!
