In this new improvised show, the twisted minds behind popular improv act Puppet TV combine adult improv savvy with the style of classic children's shows such as The Bugaloos, H.R. Pufnstuf and The Great Space Coaster to transform the audience's fears, bad days and tragedies into happiness any way they can .....even if that means singing about kittens.

For puppets, being ecstatically happy is the status quo, so what will a group of puppets do when they discover that one of their own is suddenly and shockingly sad? Therapy? Philosophy? Ice cream? Luckily for them, a mad scientist, Professor Humbart Mysterio, has created a machine that will keep everyone happy for the rest of time... or else.

With improvised music by Brad Kevelin, The Great Puppet Happiness Machine! features puppeteers: Marc Carvajal, Rachel Jackson, Michael Robles, Jenny Schmidt, David Wahl and Elizabeth Westermann

About Puppet This: Puppet This is a Seattle based puppet Production Company working in puppet design, construction and performance. Puppet This designs and constructs puppets for their own scripted and improv productions and also provides puppets for other Seattle area artists. Dedicated to all things puppet-y, co-owners Rachel Jackson and Elizabeth Westermann believe puppets aren't just for children.

About Annex Theatre: Annex Theatre is a democratic collective of theatre artists dedicated to creating bold new work in an environment of improbability, resourcefulness, and risk. In addition to new plays by living playwrights, Annex produces radical reinterpretations of classic scripts, ensemble-generated non-linear spectacles, and dynamic solo performances, as well as our monthly late-night variety show Spin the Bottle, now in its 14th year. All productions are chosen by the Annex company as a whole, through a process of proposals, interviews, readings, frenzied argument, and final consensus.
