With great anticipation, Teatro ZinZanni today announced complete casting for Hollywood & Vine, the first original production to be mounted at the company's all-new home, located at the former Red Hook Brewery in the heart of Woodinville, WA wine country. This fall, as the company prepares to celebrate 20 years of presenting cirque, comedy, and cabaret in the Pacific Northwest, the dazzling new production will open, showcasing a cast of top circus talents from around the world.
Tickets are currently available for groups of 12 or more including access to performances in December. Access to tickets via an exclusive presale starting on August 1 will be offered both to Teatro ZinZanni email subscribers and Goldstar members before single tickets are available to the general public on August 16.
Hollywood & Vine introduces a collection of brand new world-class talents to Pacific Northwest audiences, while also bringing back to the spotlight local favorites audiences have cherished memories of from past ZinZanni experiences. The one and only award-winning Christine Deaver treads the boards once again in Hollywood & Vine. This comedy queen has been called "the masterful zany" by The Seattle Times and has starred in numerous Teatro ZinZanni productions including Caliente (2012), Hacienda Holiday (2014), and Be Italian (2016).
Also returning to the tent, former 25-year Pacific Northwest Ballet prima ballerina turned hoop aerialist Ariana Lallone (Hacienda Holiday, 2014; Be Italian, 2016), rock vocalist Jen Ayers (Return To Paradise, 2012; Be Italian, 2016), and member of the ever-popular and now retired trio Les Petit Freres, Parisian acrobat Domitil Aillot (Love, Chaos, and Dinner, 2018).
Seattle-based Ben Wendel of the popular aerial trapeze act Duo Madrona, seen in ZinZanni productions for the past 10 years, will premiere a new aerial duo trapeze act with Mick Holsbeke. Mick makes his Teatro ZinZanni debut with Hollywood & Vine performing not only this trapeze duet, but also an incredible and hilarious ball-balancing act that won't soon be forgotten.
With great excitement, Teatro ZinZanni introduces three additional circus talents to audiences of the beloved tent. Stunning hula-hoop artist and three times Guinness World Record holder Aleysa Gulevich joins the cast. With performances seen around the world, the New York Italian Tribute has called her "Scintillating"and The New York Times has reported that during her performance "she is transforming herself into a human slinky." Italian acrobatic dancer, aerialist, and model Giulia Piolanti makes her ZinZanni debut, previously performing with Cirque du Soleil (Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, 2011-2014; Toruk, 2015-2017). Rounding out this cast of nine is aerialist and Chinese Pole expert, Timber Brown, well-known for his turn on season 8 of "America's Got Talent" (2013).
"We are excited to raise the beautiful spiegeltent at our new home in Woodinville," Reenie Duff, artistic director comments. "Our kickoff show features a number of veteran ZinZanni artists with an infusion of new talent, a combination that will create an electric and entertaining evening for all of our guests."
As previously announced, Teatro ZinZanni is also excited to continue its partnership with local restaurateur and James Beard Award-winning Chef Jason Wilson to design the menu for the upcoming engagement. Wilson notes, "This year marks a new chapter for Teatro ZinZanni with a new home and an expanded opportunity in the region. I am taking that to heart as I design a menu around the guest experience that can be both playful and fun while being delicious and comfortable. I look forward to blurring the lines more with the show and the food and integrating the guest experience into a delicious menu sourcing from the Northwest and being inspired by the eclectic shows that Teatro ZinZanni will feature. Our new home gives the opportunity to really expand the offerings and bring the show and dinner experience to the next level together. I will always focus on seasonality through ingredients and bringing the highest quality ingredients to the center stage, sometimes literally!"
