"Goodbye grey skies, hello blue!" It's another regional premiere for TMP's fifth show of the 2011-12 Mainstage Season! Happy Days: A New Musical, based on the original TV series set in 1959 Milwaukee, brings to the stage TV family, the Cunninghams, along with Ralph Malph, Potsie and the "King of Cool" himself, Arthur Fonzarelli, for a family-friendly musical. TMP's Happy Days, A New Musical runs for 14 performances May 4-27, 2012.
The legendary Arnold's Drive-In - and number one hangout - is in danger of demolition. So the gang teams up to save it with a dance contest and a TV-worthy wrestling match. Even Pinky Tuscadero, Fonzie's childhood sweetheart, returns to help! Happy Days, A New Musical, with music from Oscar-winner Paul Williams and a book by the TV series' original creator Garry Marshall, returns to the days of 1959 Milwaukee complete with varsity sweaters, hula hoops and jukebox sock-hoppin' fun that will have you rockin' and rollin' all week long!
The show plays Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm, and Saturday May 19 & 26 at 2 pm.
All performances take place at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, 7116 6th Avenue in Tacoma. All seating for TMP Mainstage and TCMT productions is reserved.
