TMP is excited to present the regional premiere of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, a new stage adaptation of the beloved classic film. For decades, fans of all ages have made this story a regular part of their holiday season and now audiences will be able to enjoy this uplifting tale, its music and dancing live on stage!
The familiar musical tells the tale of two WWII veterans and showbiz buddies who put on a show to save the Vermont Inn of their former Army CO. Full of dancing, romance and laughter, the production is host to an incredible collection of some of Irving Berlin's greatest music including: "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep," "Sisters," "Blue Skies," and of course "White Christmas."
TMP has brought together an extremely talented cast of seasoned actors, singers and dancers to stage this first local production of White Christmas including: Mark Rake-Marona as "Bob Wallace," Vince Wingerter as "Phil Davis," Kim Lavoie and Jennifer Weingarten as the Haynes Sisters, and Doug Phillip as "General Waverly" with Sharry O'Hare as "Martha Watson."
White Christmas runs for 14 performances November 26-December 19, 2010. It plays Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm, with two additional matinee (2 pm) performances scheduled for December 11th and 18th. All performances take place at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, 7116 6th Avenue in Tacoma. All seating for TMP Mainstage and TCMT productions is reserved, so advance purchase is strongly recommended. Matinee performances of White Christmas are already filling up and all performances of this very popular show are expected to sell out.
