Tacoma Musical Playhouse will open its 2011-12 Mainstage season on September 23rd with the new musical adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel LITTLE WOMEN - following the imaginations and adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were written. This wonderful narrative has been brought to life as an exhilarating new musical filled with glorious dancing and a powerful score soaring with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope -- the sounds of a young America finding its voice.

TMP's LITTLE WOMEN features a talented cast of local favorites lead by Brynne Geiszler as "Jo" and includes: F. James Raasch, Lindsay Hovey, Claire Idstrom, Samantha Lobberegt, Nancy Hebert, Darrel Shephard, Bryan Gula, Lark Moore, Steven Barnet and Sharry O'Hare as "Aunt March."
LITTLE WOMEN runs for 13 performances September 23-October 16, 2011. It plays Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm, with two additional matinee (2 pm) performances scheduled for October 8th and 15th.

All performances take place at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, 7116 6th Avenue in Tacoma. All seating for TMP Mainstage and TCMT productions is reserved, so advance purchase is strongly recommended. Ticket prices are $27 for adults and $25 for seniors, students and military. Student Rush prices ($20) are available for all opening weekend performances and a group rate is available for groups of 10 or more. LITTLE WOMEN is appropriate for theatergoers age 4 and older.
