Theater Schmeater and Battleground Productions are pleased to announce the opening of BRASS: Fatal Footlights, a new Steampunk mystery/comedy/thriller with fights by Louis Broome and John Longenbaugh. Fatal Footlights will then run on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through April 30th at 8PM.

The saga of the Brass Family continues in this new play in which the two grown children of the family, Gwendolyn and Cyril, are tasked to solve a mystery involving the premiere of Oscar Wilde 's first play Vera, or the Nihilists. While they investigate a series of deadly theater "accidents," the criminal trio the Watch and Chain Gang scheme to steal the jewels of legendary actress Ellen Terry. The intrigue, romances, and suspects increase as we rush towards the opening of Wilde's play, which is, according to our narrator George Bernard Shaw, "absolutely terrible." A mystery, a thriller, and a love letter to theater, Fatal Footlights is more outrageous Steampunk fun with the First Family of the Realm.

Fatal Footlights boasts a talented cast, with Jeremy Adams, Machelle Allman, Aimee Decker, Tom Fraser, Katherine Grant-Suttie, Lauren Huston, John McKenna, Ruth McRee, Clayton Michael, Matthew Middleton, Tadd Morgan, Tom Stewart, and Nikki Visel. (Several of the actors are also part of our ongoing radio serial, heard locally on KIXI, nationally via Imagination Theater, and on the web at KING FM's The Arts Channel.)

The Projection Designer is Thaddeus Jurczynski. The set is designed by Madisen Crowley, with lighting by Gabrielle Strong. Sound is by Laura Ulmer. Costumes are by Kristine Hawthorne. Property Masters are Jerry Goodwin and Maizie Teasworth, with properties being crewed by Guy Van Doom. Jaime Shure is the stage manager. The production is directed by John Longenbaugh.

Fatal Footlights will have a Pay What You Can preview on Thursday April 7th at 8:00PM. Opening night is April 8th, and the production runs on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00PM through April 30th. General admission tickets purchased on-line in advance for all shows are $27.00 or $25.00 for students and seniors. General admission tickets purchased at the box office are $30.00 or $27.00 for students and seniors.
