Three of the most dynamic, charismatic men in the spiritual/self-help arena today -Dr. Joe Dispenza, Carlton Pearson and Robert Holden - and one very sassy, sensational lady - Shirley MacLaine - make their Seattle debut in 2010 as part of the BellaSpark Extraordinary People series, appropriately titled, "3 Men and a Lady."

Dr. Joe Dispenza

Opening the series on February 26 is "local boy," Dr. Joe Dispenza, a working chiropractor, based in Rainier, Washington. A featured scientist in the groundbreaking quantum physics film, What the Bleep Do We Know!?, Dispenza is one of the leading authorities on the interconnectedness of the brain, the mind, the body and consciousness. Through studying the brain, the mind-over-matter phenomenon, spontaneous healing, and how the body can restore itself after injury or disease without turning to therapies that rely on drugs and surgery, "Dr. Joe" offers revolutionary new insights into how changing our thinking can truly change our lives.

Dispenza is the bestselling author of Evolve Your Brain. His upcoming new book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One is due out in 2010.

Carlton Pearson

On March 26, Seattle will play host to Carlton Pearson, one of the most articulate, dynamic and controversial spiritual leaders of our time-the heir apparent to a new way of thinking.

The rogue fundamentalist, Evangelical, PentecostAl Bishop, who created a firestorm of criticism and outrage by saying to hell with Hell, continues to fuel the flames by insisting that "the only devil is the one we invent and the only hell the one we create." Wanting none of that "old time religion," Pearson has declared that "the kingdom of heaven has become the kingdom of humans and we have missed the point."

Pearson's much-publicized fall from Pentecostal grace played out dramatically in the media and included a feature on NBC's Nightline. Although he has been spurned by the Evangelical hierarchy, others have seen him as a voice of reason in a world of religious extremes. His new book, God is Not a Christian is due out in March.

Robert Holden

Robert Holden, Britain's "Get Happy" guru and founder of "The Happiness Project" brings his infectious, feel-good philosophy to Seattle on April 30. Holden's innovative work on happiness and success has been featured on Oprah and Good Morning America, and also in two major BBC TV documentaries, The Happiness Formula and How to Be Happy, shown to more than 30 million TV viewers worldwide. According to Holden, "Happiness is a spiritual path. The more you learn about true happiness, the more you discover the truth of who you are, what is important, and what your life is for."

Holden is the author of the best-selling books Happiness NOW!, Shift Happens! and Success Intelligence. His latest book Be Happy is published by Hay House.

And for the grand finale... Shirley MacLaine

Hollywood icon and New Age pioneer, Shirley MacLaine closes out the series in style on June 13. MacLaine is one of the most outspoken stars in an industry where speaking your mind is not for the faint-of-heart, and controversy is front page fodder for celebrity hungry tabloids. Yet, at age 75, she's as feisty and fabulous as ever, and still committed to boldly speaking her truth, unedited and uncensored.

Although her much-publicized interest in spirituality has played out in the tabloids and made her a popular target for new-age naysayers, she remains undaunted, continuing to examine everything from transchanneling to reincarnation to UFOs. Over the years, she has documented her personal spiritual quest in several best-selling books, including Out on a Limb and Dancing in the Light. Her latest release, Sage-ing While Age-ing is the most recent installment in the Shirley MacLaine "unplugged" legacy, a powerful inquiry into what it means to grow beyond the physical into wisdom.

"An Evening with Shirley MacLaine" is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the big questions like, What is consciousness? What is the purpose of our lives? Are we alone in the universe? with a woman who isn't afraid of the answers.
