Members of Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) have a lot to celebrate in 2013 and they're doing it with a song - many songs in fact.
Celebrate! highlights the 10
thAnniversary Season for Seattle Women's Chorus and they are thrilled to welcome Tacoma native and finalist from NBC's
The Voice,
Vicci Martinez, on stage with them for one night only, Friday, February 8, 2013.
Highlighting some fantastic musical divas from the past few decades, Seattle Women's Chorus will give audiences a curtain-to-curtain celebration that is sure to bring the house down. The selected songs are written by some of the great female singer-songwriters of the modern era and this chorus of almost 200 women is prepped to set the Benaroya Hall stage on fire with tunes like, "Constant Craving" (
k.d. lang), "Rumor Has It" (Adele), "Give Me One Reason" (Tracy Chapman), and "Natural Woman" (
Carole King).
Vicci Martinez, known for her rockin' acoustic guitar and electrifying performances, will join the chorus on stage for a few songs and will showcase her impressive musical talents.
The evening continues with a FREE post-concert dance party in the Benaroya Hall lobby. DJ Stacey Cooks (The Original Timberline, The Cuff, Hotflash, and Girl 4 Girl) will spin 'celebratory' music from the '70s to present day. The party continues until 1:00am. There will be a cash bar and all are welcome.
