Yonder Mountain String Band has always played music by its own set of rules. Bending bluegrass, rock and countless other influences that the band cites, Yonder has pioneered a sound of their own. With their traditional lineup of instruments, the band may look like a traditional bluegrass band at first glance but they've created their own music that transcends any genre.

Corinne Bailey Rae

Date: April 12, 2010 @ 7:30pm
Venue: Moore Theatre (All Ages)
Price: $25.50, not including applicable fees
Seating: Reserved
On sale date: Saturday, February 6th @ 10am
Ticketing information: Online at www.Tickets.com, in person at the Paramount Theatre box office (M-F 10am-6pm), 24-hour kiosks located outside the Paramount & Moore Theatres, charge by phone at (877) 784-4849, or online at STGPresents.org.

Four years and four-million album sales after her self-titled debut, Corinne Bailey Rae returns with her long-awaited second album, The Sea. For the 30-year-old singer and songwriter from Leeds, this meant politely declining the suggestions that she work with this or that big-league producer in this or that big-money studio. It meant co-producing the album herself with friends and musicians she had worked with in the past to retain intimacy and control, shrugging off the huge, worldwide expectations engendered by the self-titled debut and refusing to be bedazzled by that album's multiple Grammy and Brit Award nominations.

The Posies

Performing Frosting On The Beater
Special Guests: The Tripwires, Curtains for You
Date: April 17, 2010 @ 9:00pm
Venue: The Crocodile (21+)

Seating: General Admission
On sale date: Saturday, February 6th @ 10am
Ticketing information: Online at www.TheCrocodile.com or in person at Sonic Boom Records. For more information, please visit STGPresents.org.

For the first time in Seattle, The Posies will be performing their renowned 1993 release, Frosting On The Beater, in its entirety. Formed in the Northwest by the core singer/songwriter partnership of Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow, The Posies bring it all back to the city where Frosting On The Beater was written and recorded, an album MAGNET magazine declared as one of the Top 15 American Power-Pop records of all time. In fall of 2010, Rykodisc will release a yet-to-be-titledfull-strength new album from the Posies, to be recorded in the south of Spain, their first since 2005's Every Kind Of Light. Traveling to Spain a handful of hours after the Crocodile show ends to begin recording, The Posies will also give all their new material its' first presentation live in Seattle. Come see the band perform one of their classics, along with premiering new tracks off their upcoming release!
