"I've come full circle and I'm comfortable being a total outsider," says Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz, explaining the philosophy behind the band's new album, Pura Vida Conspiracy. Like everything they've ever done, this outing is an uncategorizable blend of international influences, anchored by the gypsy rhythms Hutz grew up with in Ukraine. "Most people are looking for a box to put stuff in," he says.

"I try to avoid it. The message of this record is the quest for self-knowledge beyond borders and nationalities. Every culture is a useful mask, but it is just a mask. To get to know your actual human self, you have to get behind all the masks. With all the time I've spent in Latin America, living and loving, I realized I'll never be Argentinean or Brazilian, just like I'll never be Ukrainian. If you have true human spirit, you can't fit into any genre, nationality or culture. To be a true citizen of the world, you can only be an ultimate outsider."

Hutz chose Pura Vida Conspiracy as the title because it represents everything the band has been moving toward since they first formed over a decade ago. "We're not a whimsical band with a whimsical message and some languages offer things that others don't. As I made my way through Spanish, the phrase 'pura vida' - pure life - struck me. In Spanish, 'pura vida' as the gusto that true life should have, as opposed to words in English, French or Russian. It sums up my need of joining fragmented parts and pieces to create a worldwide consciousness. It's what we've had in mind since the first song on the first Gogol Bordello album."

The band did pre-production on 30 songs at studios in Mexico, Paraguay and Burlington, VT narrowing it down to the most compelling tunes for the album. The arrangements were done on the fly, with the musicians contributing ideas from their own areas of expertise. "Our sound comes from being a group of polyamorous musicians. The style comes from musicians born and raised in various elements, like (bass player) Thomas Gobena's Ethiopian meters and (Russian violinist) Sergey Ryabtsev and (folkloric Russian accordion player) Yuri Lemeshev's palette of colors. Everyone does their own thing to keep the train moving."

Banners: Born in Liverpool, UK, BANNERS was fascinated by dreams, life, death, hope and despair. He grew up singing in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Choir and the Liverpool Kop. After singing in cathedrals and concert halls across Europe, BANNERS went to work on his own material. Influenced by artists ranging from The Beatles to Arcade Fire, BANNERS' music is at once haunting and hopeful, sure to resonate with audiences across space and age.
The Moth & The Flame: The Moth and the Flame have been creating earnest and heady alternative indie-rock since 2011. They have been heralded as one of the top emerging artists in the western United States, and as a "band to watch" coming out of their home in Los Angeles. TM&TF's latest release,"Young & Unafraid EP", is a collection of five complex and thematic songs, including their hit single "Young & Unafraid", and newest radio single "Live While I Breathe". Both will be featured on their upcoming album which is set to release early 2016.
Pop Etc: POP ETC's music still sounds raw because the band didn't wholly embrace all the tenets of modern pop. "When I listened to pop music as a kid, I didn't think about why I loved it," Chris admits. "I just did. There was this gut reaction. I always looked for that, and I still do." POP ETC is still the work of a tight-knit unit, not the product of an assembly line. POP ETC sprang forth from the minds of the three band members, and virtually no one else. "That's what makes our approach different in this modern era of pop," explains Chris. Maybe POP ETC sounds familiar because the members of the Brooklyn-via-Berkeley trio-Chris, his brother Jon Chu, and Julian Harmon-previously established a measure of renown under the name The Morning Benders. Most likely though, POP ETC sounds familiar from its self-titled debut album released in 2012 with production from Danger Mouse and Andrew Dawson that saw the band combining their unique sound with a classic pop sensibility.

You think you know someone, and then you realize that there's more than meets the eye.
Grammy Award winning artist Warren Haynes has been recognized as a cornerstone of the American music landscape and revered as one of the finest guitar players in the world. Throughout his prolific career as part of three of the greatest live groups in rock history - Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule and the Dead - his virtuosic artistry has led to thousands of unforgettable performances and millions of album and track sales. Despite all of the ground that Haynes has covered on his musical journey, the impressive thing is that he still has many miles to explore. On his newest solo album Ashes and Dust, he puts forth one of his most gorgeous, musically rich and personal albums to date. It is endlessly exciting to see one of the most brilliant minds in modern music shine an entirely new light on the depths of his creativity.
Ashes and Dust, only the third studio album Haynes has ever released under his own name, is a masterful work of art and a particularly important statement for Haynes. The songs are immediately and clearly different from his usual style - encompassing beautiful acoustic arrangements, a rootsy/Americana soundscape and honeyed vocals that cut straight through to the soul. Although many of these songs are brand new, some of the tunes that make up this album have been dear to Warren for years. In some cases he has been carrying them around for 20 or 30 years, waiting for the right time to record them.
"I've been writing songs all my life from a more folky, singer-songwriter, even Celtic direction," he says. "For a while, I've been compiling songs that didn't necessarily fit in with Gov't Mule or the Allman Brothers or even my last solo album. So this record was really a chance to bring a lot of that music to fruition. It's really given me the opportunity to take a lot of songs I love, that didn't have a home, and build a home for them."

The album's first single, "Outta My Mind," also has received excellent reviews, with New York magazine's Vulture praising its "raw, bare-bones appeal" and Spin noting its "barrage of deliciously reverbed, strung-out riffs." For up-to-date information, please visit www.BrianWilson.com. In 1965, with the Beach Boys out on tour, Wilson began session work on some of the most deeply personal recordings of his career. Inspired by The Beatles Rubber Soul, he challenged himself to create an immaculate musical masterpiece. A vast departure from the bands' then commercial sound, the resulting "concept album" Pet Sounds achieved great critical success helping usher in a new musical landscape and hit the Top 10 in the US while topping the charts in the UK. "It's really been a trip to sit here and think about releasing Pet Sounds 50 years ago," says Wilson. "I love performing this album with my band and look forward to playing it for fans all across the world." Brian Wilson is one of popular music's most deeply revered figures, a legendary writer, producer, arranger and performer of some of the most cherished music in pop music history. For more than half a century, fans have marveled at the sheer beauty of the music that springs forth from his imagination into glorious song. Wilson brings this ingenious vision to his own compositions, as well as to those for which he has collaborated, weaving a lush, vibrant tapestry of intricately nuanced vocal harmonies and instrumental arrangements for himself, his bandmates and others. Wilson began his career as a teenaged founding member of The Beach Boys, who signed with Capitol Records in July 1962 and released their first album, Surfin' Safari, that same year. The band's initial surf-rock focus was soon broadened to include other themes. Wilson's innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements for major hits including "I Get Around," "California Girls," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "God Only Knows," and the No. 1 smash "Good Vibrations" made The Beach Boys America's preeminent band of the 1960s. Wilson has also achieved great solo success with 11 of his own albums released to date, including his acclaimed 2004 completion of an album he first began recording in the '60s, Brian Wilson Presents... SMiLE. The album earned Wilson his first GRAMMY for a recording, which was followed by his second GRAMMY win for producing The Beach Boys' acclaimed 2011 release, The SMiLE Sessions. With his own band, Wilson has performed major, sold-out tours in recent years, and with The Beach Boys, he celebrated the iconic band's 50th anniversary in 2012 with a major international tour and acclaimed studio album, That's Why God Made The Radio. In 2015, Wilson released his latest solo album No Pier Pressure (Capitol) and was the subject of the critically acclaimed, award-winning biopic Love & Mercy (Roadside Attractions/Lionsgate). Directed by Bill Pohlad, starring John Cusack, Paul Dano, Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti, Love & Mercy presents an unconventional portrait of the music legend. Set against the era-defining catalog of the music, the film intimately examines the personal voyage and ultimate salvation of the icon whose success came at extraordinary personal cost. The culmination of these projects produced Wilson's first Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) for his song "One Kind Of Love" featured in the film. Brian Wilson is a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and a U.K. Music Hall of Fame inductee. As a member of The Beach Boys, Wilson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and honored with The Recording Academy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
