In celebration of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), the Seattle Playwrights Salon invites writers of any stripe to gather on Friday, November 10, 2017 for Write Like It's 1899! at the Conservatory, for timed writing sprints. Get your writing juices flowing. Poetry, short stories, plays, novels, non-fiction? Bring it on! Admission is free.
The Conservatory is located in Seattle's historic Georgetown neighborhood. Reflecting the Conservatory's and Georgetown's 19th century vibe, writers may dress in their best 1890s garb (or in any style!) and join other writers in timed word sprints, writing-themed games, spoken word readings, and all manner of frivolity. Need some inspiration to reach your NaNoWriMo goal? Join us! Bring your laptop. Have a drink. Relax a bit with fun and games. Who knows? Amidst the buzz of creativity, you may even win a prize or perhaps create your most stunning work yet.
Beer, wine, cider, and food available for purchase.
The Conservatory is a Seattle art space and coffeehouse, community meeting place, and artists' workshop in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood, a growing and glowing arts haven in Seattle near I-5, just north of Boeing Field. The Seattle Playwrights Salon produces new play readings and full productions on the second Friday of every month at The Conservatory to give local playwrights a public place to present new work in development to a live audience.
