Seattle Center Sets Polish Festival for Today, 9/30

Seattle Center will welcome Polish Festival Seattle to Intiman Playhouse, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., today, Sept. 30. The festival presents free entertainment and performances by Polish groups, workshops related to Polish culture and children’s activities. Vendor booths offer traditional costumes, pottery, crystal and cutout art for sale. Visitors to the beer garden will find it stocked with a variety of ice cold Polish beer and Washington wine.

· Polonez Dance Group
· Marzena Lilian Szlaga, pianist, performing music by Frederick Chopin
· Agnieszka Laska Dancers
· The White Eagle Band
· Vivat Musica! Polish Choir
· Polish Folk Costume Show
· Paul Gabrielson & Knife in The Water Quartet (Polish jazz)
· Young Polanie (Folk Dances)
· Ashia & the Bison Rouge (blues, rock and chamber pop)

Polish Festival is making the move to Seattle Center, in collaboration with The Next Fifty celebration, in order to draw the greater community to celebrate Polish cultural traditions. For nearly a century, the vibrant regional Polish-American community has organized festivals at the Capitol Hill community center.

Polish Festival Seattle is produced by Polish Home Foundation of Seattle in partnership with Seattle Center and presented in conjunction with Seattle Center Cultural Programs.
